In its special 1,500th issue, the weekly newsmagazine El Temps includes a 6-page interview with IRB Barcelona adjunct director, Joan Massagué. The interview takes a look at his career and which important decisions he has made along the way. He gives his opinion about the current state of research in Spain and Catalonia, focusing on the decrease in funding. According to Massagué: “if we stop investing in science, we will lose not only the resources we have invested so far but also the international credibility we have achieved.”
