La Vanguardia devotes an article to innovation, with interviews with several entrepreneurs, among these IRB Barcelona researcher Teresa Tarragó, co-founder of the spin-off Iproteos. Ernest Giralt and Teresa Tarragó set up Iproteos in 2011, thanks to a technology developed in the IRB Barcelona lab headed by Giralt. The company’s endeavours focus on the development of drugs mainly to combat diseases of the central nervous system.

The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) pursues a society free of disease. To this end, it conducts multidisciplinary research of excellence to cure cancer and other diseases linked to ageing.
