Presentation
Organizer: IRB BioMed Seminars
Date / Time: Friday Feb 14 2025 at 12:00
Place: Fèlix Serratosa
Speaker: Antonio Giraldez, Ph.D. - Fergus F. Wallace Professor of Genetics - Yale School of Medicine, USA.
Host: Marco Milán, Ph.D. - Programme Chair - Group Leader - Development and Growth Control LAB - IRB Barcelona - Mechanisms of Disease Programme (MOD).
In this seminar I will present our work that combines genomics and super resolution microscopy to understand gene regulatory paradigms in development and disease. In particular, I will present our work on using expansion microscopy and genomics to understand the mechanisms that activate transcription and mediate post-transcriptional regulation after fertilization. In the second part of the talk, I will present how we are combining genomics and massively parallel reporters in human cells to understand the regulatory mechanisms of sequence variation in untranslated regions in human disease and cancer.

IMPORTANT: For attendees outside the PCB community you must register at least 24h before the seminar
