Title: “A Fly Path to Network-Based Therapies”
Host: Dr Marco Milán - Group Leader IRB Barcelona - Development and Growth Control LAB - Mechanisms of Disease Programme.
Abstract: Cancer has a proven a difficult challenge, with current clinical success rates for new drugs among the lowest of all major diseases. I will discuss how we use a broadly integrated platform of flies, human organoids/assembloids, mice, and ‘chemical evolution/chemputer’ technologies to take a network approach towards personalised and precision medicine. I will update our progress on our fly-to-bedside clinical trial for solid tumours, our findings connecting genetic complexity to drug resistance, and our efforts to build a new generation of therapies for RASopathies.
