IRB Barcelona is a world-class research centre devoted to understanding fundamental questions about human health and disease. Created in 2005 by the Generalitat de Catalunya (Government of Catalonia) and the University of Barcelona, IRB Barcelona is a Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence—a seal that was awarded in 2011.
The institute is devoted to conducting research of excellence in biomedicine and to transferring results to clinical practice, thus improving people’s quality of life, while simultaneously promoting the training of outstanding researchers, technology transfer, and public communication of science. Its 29 laboratories and 7 core facilities address basic questions in biology, chemistry and medicine.
IRB is opening a call for Postdoctoral Candidates to apply for the CRIS Postdoc Talent Programme 2023, a grant initiative aimed at supporting postdoctoral researchers engaged in the development of new cancer therapies. Postdoctoral candidates are encouraged to look at the list of IRB labs currently accepting CRIS fellows (see below) to identify research areas that align with their interests and find a suitable IRB supervisor.

Eligibility
Please confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria for this call before applying
- Ph.D. obtained between January 2013 and December 2019.
- To have at least 5 papers published, 2 of them as first author in Q1 scientific journals.
- A demonstrable research stay of at least 12 months in a foreign institute.
- There are no nationality restrictions.
