El periódico digital Materia dedica un artículo a la política científica española para el cual han consultado con actores principales del sistema científico. Entre otros, dos directores de centros Severo Ochoa, Joan Guinovart, IRB, y Manuel de León, ICMAT, la directora de transferencia de tecnología en el ICFO, Silvia Carrasco, y el vicerrector de la Universidad de Extremadura, Manuel González. La pregunta principal es cómo se puede mejorar la ciencia en España sin aumentar el presupuesto en tiempos de crisis.

About IRB Barcelona
The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) pursues a society free of disease. To this end, it conducts multidisciplinary research of excellence to cure cancer and other diseases linked to ageing. It establishes technology transfer agreements with the pharmaceutical industry and major hospitals to bring research results closer to society, and organises a range of science outreach activities to engage the public in an open dialogue.
