Joan Massagué, IRB Barcelona adjunct director, is one of the 15 authorities invited by the newspaper El Punt Avui to talk about the challenges for 2013. In his article entitled "Avancem amb la ciència" (we advance with science), Massagué lobbies for investment in science to continue in order to ensure the future of Catalonia.

About IRB Barcelona
The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) pursues a society free of disease. To this end, it conducts multidisciplinary research of excellence to cure cancer and other diseases linked to ageing.
