Premsa del Baix has published an article about the athletes of Sant Esteve de Sesrovires who have received awards at the "Sports Night". Carlos Romero, a long-distance swimmer, won the prize for best athlete in the men's category. Romero combines sports and fundraising to support the Institute for Biomedcine Research (IRB Barcelona).

The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) pursues a society free of disease. To this end, it conducts multidisciplinary research of excellence to cure cancer and other diseases linked to ageing.
