The newspaper El País has published an article on the pros and cons of intermittent fasting. The article refers to two kinds of fasting, namely the 5:2 fast, on which you can eat with no calorie restriction for five days and on the other two days no solids are allowed, and the 18:6 fast, which proposes that all the meals of the day are eaten within 6 hours, while the remaining 18 are devoted to fasting. The article includes the opinion of IRB Barcelona researcher Antonio Zorzano, who says, "I have still not seen this reflected in studies, but we must err on the side of caution before telling  people that they can do these diets ", and goes on to conclude that people on such diets should be under medical supervision.
