The newspaper Regió 7 mentions the special report that the journal Nature is preparing on Catalonia and the research done here, which will be published in November. The report will include editorial content specific to the region, along with promotional items and advertising of universities, scientific institutions, and private companies. IRB Barcelona appeared in the last special issue of the journal on Catalonia published in 2011.

About IRB Barcelona

The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) pursues a society free of disease. To this end, it conducts multidisciplinary research of excellence to cure cancer and other diseases linked to ageing. It establishes technology transfer agreements with the pharmaceutical industry and major hospitals to bring research results closer to society, and organises a range of science outreach activities to engage the public in an open dialogue.
