The journal Science has sought out Joan Guinovart to hear his opinion about the replacement of Izpisúa at the head of the “Centro de Medicina Regenerativa de Barcelona” (CMRB)—a decision taken by the Governing Board of this organisation last Monday. The director of IRB Barcelona has been in demand by many media channels regarding this news, which was reported by the newspaper “El País” last Wednesday. Guinovart stated that this decision had very little or nothing to do with the cutbacks.
