In an interview in the educational portal Profes.net/DIVULGA, Eduardo Soriano, head of the Developmental Neurobiology ad Regeneration Lab at IRB Barcelona, talks about research into Alzheimer’s disease.

Soriano explains that “in spite of all the research that has been done, we still do not really know about the real causes of the disease”. Now studying the relation between the protein Reelin –described by his lab – and Alzheimer’s, the scientist says “until we find out the critical mechanisms that triggers the disease we will not be able to improve diagnostics, treatment and prevention”.
