IRB Barcelona scientists will take part in the open day activity and in a game-like format presentation of a doctoral research project.

The Parc Científic de Barcelona (PCB, Barcelona Science Park) will participate in the 11th edition of Science Week, held from 10 to 19 November around Catalonia and this year devoted to nutrition in the XXI century. Among the more than 400 events included in this initiative, we highlight the open days entitled “What is the Parc Científic de Barcelona? What is research all about?” which will be held on 14 and 16 November. In addition, Science Week will include exhibitions, round tables, and scientific film and video sessions, which will be held in the Universitat de Barcelona (UB, University of Barcelona) and will involve other organizations at the PCB.

On Tuesday 14 and Thursday 16 November, those who attend the PCB’s open day will be given a presentation of a doctoral research project by the student himself/herself. This presentation will be in a game-like format and will involve visits to all the labs and services used to perform the research project. This activity involves the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona), the Scientific-Technical Services of the UB (SCT-UB) and the PCB’s High Throughput Crystallography Platform. The open days are divided into two sessions, one at 10h and the other at 15.30h. Reservations at Tel: 93 403 48 62.
