The newspaper La Nueva España, edited in Asturias, has published an article about the “Valdés Salas” Award for Applied Biomedicine, which was recently given to Roger Gomis for his research on bone metastasis. The jury acknowledges not only the basic research performed in Gomis’ lab but also the biomedical application of this know-how through the company Inbiomotion.

The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) pursues a society free of disease. To this end, it conducts multidisciplinary research of excellence to cure cancer and other diseases linked to ageing.
