The Catalan delegation headed by Biocat includes thirty-seven companies and 7 research organizations.

IRB Barcelona will take part in the BIO International Convention, the most important gathering of the international biotechnology sector, to be held from 15 to 18 June 2015 in Philadelphia (United States). Biocat, an organization that coordinates and promotes the life sciences sector in Catalonia, is leading the delegation, which includes thirty-seven companies and 7 research institutions.

The Philadephia area is home to more than 1,200 companies, ranging from large multinational corporations from the biopharmaceutical industry to national companies with great projection and high growth. Exhibitors at BIO have the chance to reach top executives and decision-makers attending the convention in order to discover new stakeholders in the industry, forge collaborations and assess emerging technology.

IRB Barcelona seeks to strengthen ties with key organisations in this sector, in addition to generating new opportunities for collaboration. This is the sixth consecutive year that IRB Barcelona is participating in the BIO International Convention, a clear sign that the institute is committed to the market transfer of innovation and discoveries made in its 23 labs and six scientific platforms.
