The Referencias section of the latest bulletin of the Sociedad Española de Bioquímica y Biología Molecular (SEBBM) includes an article on the latest findings of the research group led by Eduard Batlle at IRB Barcelona. The results of the study, published last May in the journal Cell Stem Cell, reinforce the hypothesis of cancer stem cells as the main responsible for the growth and development of tumors. These results have made them a target for new treatments against colorectal cancer.
