Manuel Serrano, ICREA researcher at IRB Barcelona, participated in the programme Inmortals, broadcasted on TV3, in which he talked about aging. The slowing down of aging in mouse has been achieved. It is now only a question of time until the resources are available to reverse aging and increase lifespan in humans. In this regard, Serrano says, “I don’t know whether the limit will be 120 or 140 years, but I am sure lifespan will increase"

The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) pursues a society free of disease.
