"La Verdad de Murcia" carries an interview with IRB Barcelona director Joan J. Guinovart about the talk "Understanding Diabetes" that he gave at the "Fundación de Estudios Médicos Segura de Molina" on 11 April. Guinovart remarks on the increase in the number of cases of diabetes type 2 and the studies underway in his "Metabolic Engineering and Diabetes Lab". In the interview, he also comments on science education and science policy in Spain.
