TV3’s documentary "Lluitant per la vida" (Fighting for Life) depicts the current state of the life sciences in Catalonia and the outstanding level achieved in fields that cause most concern to society. The scientists talk about cancer, genetics, the heart, the origin of life, ecology, diabetes, immunology and neurology, and summarize one hundred years of science and also the social relevance of these topics. The codirectors of IRB Barcelona, Joan Massagué and Joan J. Guinovart, are among those that participated in this hour-long programme devoted to the roots of science in Catalonia.
