Article of Diario Medico where IRB Barcelona researcher Raúl Méndez explains in which point is the research of CPEB proteins and their role in cancer. Traditionally related with development, CPEB proteins are capable to regulate some genes that give the cells pluripotency and capability to proliferate, becoming tumor cells. Méndez took part as Alumni in the X Anniversary symposium of the Center of Genomic Regulation (CRG.)
