ABC newspaper has echoed the participation of a Catalan delegation at the Bio International Convention, the most important biotech fair worldwide, which is taking place from 15 to 18 June in Philadelphia (United States). Organised by Biocat, the Catalan delegation, includes 37 companies and institutions, including IRB Barcelona. Cristina Horcajada, head of the Innovation Department, will be participating in the fair in representation of the institute.

About IRB Barcelona
The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) pursues a society free of disease. To this end, it conducts multidisciplinary research of excellence to cure cancer and other diseases linked to ageing. It establishes technology transfer agreements with the pharmaceutical industry and major hospitals to bring research results closer to society, and organises a range of science outreach activities to engage the public in an open dialogue.
