The EMBO Reports journal devotes the section “Meeting Point” to the main topics discussed during the XIV Biomed Conference on Cancer Metabolism held last November in Barcelona. Organised by the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) with the support of the BBVA Foundation, the BioMed Conference brought together worldwide experts in this emerging field.

The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) pursues a society free of disease. To this end, it conducts multidisciplinary research of excellence to cure cancer and other diseases linked to ageing.
