Abstract:
Our lab aims to describe how biological processes occur and their role in human diseases using high-resolution structural biology. A large part of our work is devoted to clarify the role of SMAD transcription factors in TGF-β signaling. I will present our results related to complex structures of Smad proteins and two cofactors, and the conformational landscape that two Smads FL proteins adopt in solution. I will also take the opportunity to comment on the AlphaFold2 and RoseTTAfold programs.
