Open Science and Research Data Management

Image

Presentation

The development of research activity entails adherence to a series of rules that seek to ensure the fair exploitation of publicly funded results, so that they can reach peers and the public and/or be reused for the benefit of science and society at large and as quickly as possible. In an era of escalating capacity for big data generation, we cannot afford to waste the incredibly high amount of potentially relevant information that lost, mislocated or unshared data may hide. The recent COVID-19 pandemic provides a clear example of the power of data reuse.

This 2-day workshop provides researchers with useful tools to respond to the new paradigm in handling and sharing research results, from open access and publications to research data management.

Dates and Time: 8 November 2022, from 14:30 to 18:00 h & 10 November 2022, from 14:00 to 17:30 h
