This workshop led by Graphit will cover:
- Where you will submit your abstract and what are the requirements and restrictions?
- To share or not to share: How to protect your project and still benefit from scientific exchange.
- How to structure your abstract: From lab book to abstract.
- Understanding the purpose and structure of a scientific abstract
- Familiarising yourself with the conventions and guidelines for writing a clear and concise scientific abstract
- Learning how to effectively summarize the main findings and conclusions of a research study in an abstract
- Understanding the importance of using appropriate and specific language in a scientific abstract
- Familiarising yourself with the common mistakes and pitfalls to avoid while writing a scientific abstract
- Going for the prize: Leveraging AI-based writing support to make your writing bold, clear and polished.

Speakers
Graphit is a London-based enterprise specialised in scientific communication. They offer a wide range of services including writing, scientific design and dissemination support. In addition to specialized training workshops, Graphit also offers individual and group coaching to support early-stage researchers along their journey of personal development.
Reda is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie alumnus who completed his PhD at the lab of Dr. Sebastian Kobold at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, Germany. There, he focused on the development of cell and antibody-based therapies for the treatment of solid tumors. In 2021, he started as a Postdoc fellow at the National Cancer Institute (NCI-NIH) in the lab of Dr. Tim F. Greten. He now investigates liver cancer, with a focus on the tumor microenvironment. In Graphit, Reda’s focus is centered on writing support, manuscript preparation and public outreach statements.
