BIST – Leadership in Action 2021 - Leading in strategy and culture in a research environment

The 2021 programme has been redefined as online interactive activity to help you develop leadership skills in the current context of a research environment.  We will explore leadership theory and apply it directly to the challenges that you face as a postdoc. The programme kicks off with a 90-min session in which you will meet fellow participants, share your leadership challenges and set individual goals for the programme. This session will then be followed by 4x 3-h workshops (with breaks!).  I will introduce leadership theory related to the theme of the workshop and then you will work in small groups to critique and apply that theory.  We will finish by reflecting on what we have learned and the challenges of applying the theory.  These are interactive and practical workshops, so come prepared with your leadership challenges, your professional ambitions and a willingness to experiment. I'm looking forward to working with you.

Caroline, your trainer.
