The weekend of 26-27 October will mark the Science Fair, an annual event held in the Moll de la Fusta and organised by the Barcelona City Council. Targeting the general public, this outdoor fair includes more than 200 fun activities in which scientists from a range fo fields showcase the science being done around Catalonia.

Our bodies are like cities, with facilities and specialised workers—our organs, tissues and cells— and without which our bodies wouldn’t work properly—. Come and discover how researchers study the human body and what organs look like under a microscope!.

Talk + concert: The music of chemistry and education
Time: 12:15.
Presented by Ernest Giralt (IRB Barcelona), Mercè Izquierdo (UAB), Laia Espelt (Fundació Collserola) and the string quartet of the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès.
Talk and concert based on a musical composition by IRB Barcelona researcher Ernest Giralt, "Chemical Elements 2018: A Musical Mosaic". The piece is made up of 118 fragments and it reflects the periodicity and properties of the elements of the periodic table.
Organised by the Fundació Collserola and IRB Barcelona to mark the International Year of the Periodic Table.
