BIYSC 2018 starts with 90 students from all over the world.
IRB Barcelona receives today eight students that will participate through the workshop "Drosophila melanogaster: a model to study human disease".
The third edition of the Barcelona International Youth Science Challenge (BIYSC) will bring together this summer 90 students of 23 different nationalities with the aim to stimulate scientific vocations, and IRB Barcelona is participating through the workshop "Drosophila melanogaster: a model to study human disease" given by PhD and postdoctoral students from the Development and Growth Control Laboratory.
The Barcelona International Youth Science Challenge (BIYSC) is the only international program promoted by Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation. Its main objective is to enhance the interest in science and the educational excellence among young people from 16 to 18 years old from all over the world. From July 9th to 20th 2018 will take place the international event that will join almost a hundred pre-university students passionate about science.
The third edition of BIYSC will count with students from the 5 continents. 9 European countries —Austria, Italy, Spain, France, Switzerland, Hungary, Macedonia, Luxembourg and United Kingdom— and 14 international countries —China, Canada, State of Palestine, Chile, Israel, New Zeeland, South Africa, Singapore, Tunisia, Turkey, United States, Malaysia, Uzbekistan and United Arab Emirates—.
