Local, national and international headlines have echoed the study headed by ICREA researcher Salvador Aznar Benitah, from the Stem Cells and Cancer Lab at IRB Barcelona. The first author is Gloria Pascual. 

Published in Nature, the study identifies the cells responsible for initiating and promoting metastasis in several types of human tumours.
