“Diario Médico” devoted an article to Eduard Batlle, ICREA researcher and group leader of the Colorectal Cancer Laboratory, who received the Lilly Foundation Preclinical Research Award last Tuesday for his research on colon cancer.
"As cancer progresses, it changes its microenvironment; we have seen that tumor cells communicate with healthy cells to recruit and instruct them" Batlle says in the article. Now his goal is to create a test to identify the risk of tumors spreading.
