"We need each other; I love you all," declared Joan Guinovart, director of IRB Barcelona, to journalists last Tuesday on the occasion of the first anniversary celebration of Big Vang, the informative science cannel run by La Vanguardia. Guinovart, together with Xavier Trepat and specialised science journalists Cristina Sáez and Nuria Jar, talked about the relationship between journalists and scientists. Held in the Palau Macaya in Barcelona, the gathering was attended by 150 people. Jordi Portabella, head of the science and knowledge section of the “Obra Social la Caixa” kicked off the event.
