“La Vanguardia” newspaper publishes an interview with Eduard Batlle, ICREA researcher and group leader of the Colorectal Cancer Laboratory at IRB Barcelona, about the article that has led to his nomination for the 2014 “Vanguardia de la Ciencia” Award. Batlle explains how his lab has found that colon has a natural defence mechanism against cancer, a protein called BMP, and the research lines that have emerged from this discovery.
