A study on metastatic brain tumours conducted by Dr. Joan Massagué, scientific assessor of IRB and president of its International Scientific Committee, has been in the media spotlight worldwide, with particularly strong coverage in Catalonia and Spain.

Journalists have sought out the opinion of Dr. Roger Gomis, ICREA researcher and head of the “Growth control and cancer metastasis” lab at IRB. Gomis was mentored by Massagué during a four-year postdoctoral training period in his lab at the MSKKC in New York.
