"We have learnt more in the last 10 years than in the previous 100" was a statement made by Elena Sancho, IRB Barcelona researcher, working in the Colorectal Cancer Lab in the Oncology programme. Augusto Borderas, president of the AECC in Álava recalls that statement in an article entitled "Cancer and Hope" on the occasion of the World Cancer Day, 4 February.
The AECC supports cancer research at IRB Barcelona through two grants.

About IRB Barcelona
