"After 14 years of research I can say that each project is an exciting challenge in which you are always learning, " says Judit Tulla, IRB Barcelona researcher in the Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology Programme. This statement is included in an analysis done by Biocat, the consortium of the BioRegion of Catalonia, on the initiatives and actions taken in centres and universities in Catalonia to kindle scientific interest in young people.

For the report, Biocat selected researchers to inspire young people in science, among them Judit Tulla, a doctor in Chemistry. The report also lists the different activities undertaken to train young people and teachers. Among the those at IRB Barcelona, the report highlights the Crazy About Biomedicine Programme and the Teachers and Science Programme, both receiving financial support from the “Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera”.
