“El Periódico de Catalunya” devotes an article to the fair "Recerca en Directe" (Live Research), which involves an IRB Barcelona lab. Held from 23 to 25 April in the “La Pedrera” building in Barcelona, the "Recerca en Directe" fair seeks to bring the research being done in various institutes in the city closer to the public. This is the ninth time that IRB Barcelona has participated in this event, which is organized by the PCB and the “Fundación Catalunya-La Pedrera”. On this occasion, the Peptides and Proteins Lab has set up a workshop entitled "Medicamento, ¿dónde vas?” (Where is the medicine headed?”), which explains how the selectivity of new drugs can be improved to prevent unwanted side effects.
