Diario Médico devotes extensive coverage to the three business projects that will receive fuinancial and logiostical support from the Botín Foundation, two of which are headed by researchers at IRB Barcelona.
Modesto Orozco, IRB Barcelona researcher, spoke during the award presentation to explain that "right now scientists are experiencing uncertain times and that initiatives like this one are priceless. It is difficult for me to understand that science does not figure in the minds of the heavy investors of this country ", he said, criticizing the lack of resources dedicated to research in Spain and the lack of philanthropy.
"Nostrum Drug Delivery", headed by Modesto Orozco, and "Colostage", led by Eduard Batlle and Elena Sancho, are the two IRB Barcelona projects to be awarded one million euros by the Botín Foundation.
