"El Periódico de Catalunya" devotes an article to the development of a diagnostic kit for colon cancer metastasis, headed by Eduard Batlle and Elena Sancho, both at IRB Barcelona. Called Colostage, the project has been awarded funding amounting to 500, 000 euros from the Botín Foundation, through the Mind the Gap Programme.

The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) pursues a society free of disease.
