Several national and international media, including El Periódico, have reported the latest findings on intestinal stem cells made by the research group led by the ICREA Professor and researcher at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) Eduard Batlle. The results of the study have led to a ‘recipe’ for isolating and growing colon stem cells in vitro, which opens new avenues in colon stem cells research towards regenerative medicine.
