Last Sunday, Joan Rodés, director of the “Instituto de Investigaciones Sanitarias Clínic-IDIBAPS”, was interviewed in the special supplement of “La Vanguardia” about the current status of biotechnology and its future prospects. The article referred to the importance of translational research, clearly exemplified by the partnerships established between IRB Barcelona and the “Instituto de Investigaciones Sanitarias Clínic-IDIBAPS”.

The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) pursues a society free of disease. To this end, it conducts multidisciplinary research of excellence to cure cancer and other diseases linked to ageing.
